The Search Marketing Day is not only the biggest yearly event in the SEO, PPC and Internet marketing industry but also a meeting of all those interested in website positioning, AdWords campaigns management, and website promotion on the Internet.

Last year’s edition – the conference’s début – gathered as many as 220 people! This year we even more wholeheartedly welcome participants from other parts of Europe. We hope that thanks to the newly-opened highway to Berlin and a growing number of airline connections to Poznań the conference will become more international.

Search Marketing Day is an international conference held in Poland – it is international thanks to its speakers (including Martin MacDonald , Dixon Jones from Majestic SEO, Kaspar Szymanski from Google, and others), its special location, the organisational verve, and the various languages you will hear in the lobby. It is international though held in Poland (Poznań, Stary Browar), with the Polish price level of the registration fee, and good-quality simultaneous translation into Polish. VIP Package

When registering for the conference, you can opt for the VIP package, which includes:

The package thus allows you to fully participate in the event (21-23 May). On 21 May our VIPs and speakers are picked up from the airport or railway station, and are then driven in luxurious cars to the unique five-star BlowUpHall hotel in Stary Browar (Old Brewery Art and Trade Centre). Then it is time for a welcoming dinner at Mielżyński restaurant, followed by spirits tasting at the nearby Whisky Bar 88.

22 May, the conference day, will begin with a breakfast at the hotel restaurant. By 9.30 you should reach Multikino cinema complex, where the most convenient seats in the conference room will be waiting for you. After the first four presentations you are welcome to join us for an hour-long lunch at the Piano Bar restaurant. The remaining presentations, followed by a long panel discussion with all speakers, will continue until 8.00 p.m. The evening will begin with a dinner, and from 10.00 p.m. you can enjoy yourself at the afterparty at the SQ club located close to the BlowUpHall.

The package also allows you to take part in the workshops of your choice on 23 May. Those of you not interested in the workshops can instead join the speakers for a tour of the Beyond data centre located in the basement of Stary Browar.

There are still 3 VIP packages available (we book the entire BlowUpHall hotel for the conference and it is the hotel’s capacity that determines the number of the packages available to our guests). It is recommended that VIP package holders should know English.

According to what Martin says in the video above, “we are all Black Hat!” and categorising the training as either Black Hat or White Hat is not so straightforward. You can do that yourselves according to your own discretion...

What we can definitely vouch for is the high quality of the meeting. The training will not only comprise presentations given by two renowned experts but will also take the form of a panel discussion that will last the whole day.

The training will take place on 23 May and many experts who will be present during the first day of the conference (from both sessions: on SEO and PPC) will also attend the SEO training and will take part in the panel discussion continuing throughout the day.

We assume that the other international speakers will contribute to the training by sharing their own opinions and comments, or by approaching at the debated issues from a different angle. The training will thus be a natural continuation of the SEO session from the first day of the conference.

Who will conduct the training?

The people responsible for conducting the training are Martin MacDonald and Joe Cygnus. Participants of the last year’s edition of the conference surely remember Martin’s style - he boldly speaks about controversial issues without at the same time exceeding the subtle limits.

Martin will present you with tips and tricks related to Link Building and content creation that go beyond the typical methods that you can read about on blogs.

FAQ

What is a SEM/SEO conference?
It is a conference on search engine marketing. The term covers website positioning in Google and PPC (pay-per-click) advertising systems such as Google AdWords (SEM = SEO + PPC). The presentations at Search Marketing Day will be given in two thematic sessions: SEO and PPC & Affiliate Marketing.


Will the presentation topics be announced in advance and when?
The speakers and their presentation topics will be successively presented on SprawnyMarketing.pl and MaxROY.com/blog.


Will the conference be translated into Polish?
Yes, simultaneous translation of all presentations will be provided. Translation will be done by two specialists, who receive the presentations even a week before the conference. Thanks to it they have enough time to research the topic and ask the speakers about specialist terminology or technical details of their presentations.


Will people managing PPC advertising, contextual networks and AdWords find anything at the conference that might interest them?
Yes, this year we are launching a second thematic session of presentations which will focus on paid and other innovative ways of obtaining website traffic such as Affiliate Marketing, Facebook Ads, advanced Google AdWords, Video Advertising, PPC: Yandex, LinkedIn, NK.pl, and others.


Who will chair the conference?
The conference will be chaired by the organisers, Michał Zawiasa and Cezary Lech.


Who is the conference organiser?
The Search Marketing Day conference organiser is the consultancy firm MaxROY.com actively promoting the knowledge of SEM on the Polish market for three years now. Since 2008, it has been organising training courses in Google AdWords adversiting system by virtue of an agreement with Google. The company has also published two books, one of them with a circulation of 20,000 copies! Lately, also a DVD with MaxROY.com’s Google AdWords training courses has come out. In addition, MaxROY.com runs the largest Polish site about Search Marketing – SprawnyMarketing.pl, where articles from sites such as SEOmoz.org or Search Engine Land are published by virtue of agreements with the respective sites, and supports all initiatives promoting the growth of SEM in Poland.
